And fun as hell to say.

As for being a fire sale, I liken it to more of a lukewarm water sale.Susshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06455887435216537299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9810450.post-1154005350949649942006-07-27T09:02:00.000-04:002006-07-27T09:02:00.000-04:00What I meant by that statement was that small-mark...What I meant by that statement was that small-market teams cannot expect the sustained success of big-market teams. They can't outspend their mistakes.

Look at the Twins last year. Some players didn't pan out, some others got injured, and they had a bad year. This year, they are recovering.

This year-to-year bouncing around is a reality for teams like the Indians. Even if they do 75 percent of what they are supposed to do to win, and have one bad offseason, the result is what you see now.

I don't think the Dolans are "horrible" owners. I think the owners of the Pirates and Royals are horrible. They have no idea what they are doing. The Dolans have the fundamentals right, but they are having trouble exapnding on those fundamentals. Hopefully this year will serve as a learning experience for them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
