The Browns added two more free agents today, both on the defensive side of the ball.
Punter Dave Zastudil should help wash the bad taste of the Derrick Frost and Kyle Richardson experiments out of fans' mouths. He's not quite Chris Gardocki, but he has a catapult for a leg and can sand wedge it inside the 20 about as good as any punter besides Gardocki.
Defensive tackle Ted Washington gives the Browns their biggest D-line ox since Jerry Ball. And he's probably a bit more athletic than the 400-pound Ball was.
Though he is soon to turn 38, Washington is still good at eating up blockers, which should make life a lot easier on Orpheus Roye and the guys playing behind him in the linebacker corps.
In speaking of the linebackers, the Browns are also reportedly eyeing Lions pass rusher Kalimba Edwards. He might be a Brown by Monday. Once again, stay tuned.
